Editions and pre-purchase content
The Standard Edition contains the base game. The Deluxe Edition adds six named vehicles, two landmarks, four wildlife additions, three handcrafted maps, Tycoon Cars, fun elements and franchise soundtracks. The current pre-order pack separately lists the TS Queen Mary, the Great Pyramid of Giza and an Asian elephant.
The physical Collector's Edition includes the Deluxe Edition game key, a 13 cm hero statue, a 200-page hardcover artbook, a vehicle card game, stickers, a metal keychain, a double-sided poster, a music-box soundtrack ticket, a signed thank-you card and the pre-order bonus. The first production batch is limited to 10,000 units and is sold through the official merchandise store, subject to shipping territory and stock.
Owners of Transport Fever 2 receive an automatic 10% loyalty discount on the Standard or Deluxe Edition when they buy or pre-order on the same account and same platform. The official FAQ says the discount remains available until 14 days after the 29 September launch. It does not apply to the physical Collector's Edition in the published wording.
Before buying, use this order:
- Choose a platform from the confirmed list and open its purchase method.
- If you are on PC, compare your hardware with the requirements table.
- Compare Standard, Deluxe and Collector's contents rather than assuming the pre-order pack is part of Deluxe.
- If you own Transport Fever 2, verify that you are using the same account and platform before expecting the loyalty discount.
- Recheck the store for regional price, stock, included bonuses and unlock time at purchase.
Decide whether to pre-purchase
Start with the base game, because every edition shares the transport simulation at its center. Choose Deluxe only when the named vehicles, maps, landmarks, wildlife and soundtrack material are worth the price difference to you. Bonus objects can add variety, but they are not described as a separate progression path or a requirement for normal network play.
Platform choice has longer consequences. PC offers published Windows, macOS and Linux requirements and is the natural place to compare hardware before purchase. Console players should confirm the exact PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series edition in their regional store. Cross-platform mod browsing is announced, but that does not establish cross-save, multiplayer or identical catalog availability.
Before paying, verify the current store page for four items: regional release time, price, included bonuses and refund terms. Keep the release date separate from preload or unlock timing, since a global date does not guarantee the same local hour everywhere.
If you are waiting for Game Pass or a verified Steam Deck performance result, the accurate answer is still “not announced in the cited material.” Multiplayer has a clearer official answer: the developers say their goal is the best possible single-player experience and that shifting resources to cooperative or competitive multiplayer would be premature. See the dedicated multiplayer answer. The checked date shows when that answer was last reviewed.
Languages and modes
Steam lists 13 interface languages. English and German include full audio; all 13 listed languages include subtitles. The announced play modes are single-player campaign, tycoon and sandbox, with a map editor and mod support. The official FAQ confirms eight campaign missions and describes the opening campaign section as a tutorial. Xbox Game Pass availability is not announced on the official pages cited here.
