Transport Fever 3 beta: can you still join?
Quick answer
Transport Fever 3 beta testing is still part of the remaining development process, but new applications are closed. The official FAQ says Urban Games received several tens of thousands of applications and is not looking for more beta testers. Selected participants receive an email invitation.
There is no verified public open beta, demo download or paid “beta key” route. Anyone who did not apply during the official signup period should wait for a new announcement rather than entering account details on an unofficial page.
Is the Transport Fever 3 beta still running?
Yes, in the limited sense described by the developer. The FAQ says testing continues through the rest of development. An April 2026 official Curated Mods Program update also says multiple closed beta rounds had taken place and that the first console beta round would begin rolling out shortly.
“Testing continues” does not mean anyone can join on demand. Different groups can be invited for different rounds, and an application never guaranteed selection. The current public status is closed recruitment with invitations controlled by the developer.
Can I sign up now?
No current first-party signup is available. The last-call announcement closed applications on 18 June 2025 at 23:59 CEST. The developer later said more than 30,000 people had signed up and that it could not accept additional applications.
If an old article still contains a signup button, check the date and the current FAQ before using it. Archived forms, community mirrors and search snippets can remain visible after recruitment ends. The absence of a new official application window means an old link should not be interpreted as reopened access.
How are testers selected?
Urban Games says selected applicants receive an email confirming participation. Earlier beta information explained that testing would use different groups at different times because a player can experience a system as completely new only once. That makes selection limited and round-specific.
The developer has not published a public queue position, acceptance rate by platform or method for requesting priority. Owning Transport Fever 2, preordering Transport Fever 3 or buying a particular edition is not listed as guaranteed beta access in the current official material.
Is the beta early access or a demo?
No. The official closed beta article explicitly distinguishes testing from early access and from a demo. The purpose is to find features that need explanation or balancing and identify changes that can improve the final experience.
That distinction matters for purchase decisions. A beta build can be incomplete, confidential and restricted to selected participants. It is not the public release and should not be used as evidence that every observed value, performance result or interface will remain unchanged on 29 September 2026.
Are there console beta tests?
The April 2026 developer post said the first console beta round would begin rolling out shortly. It did not announce an open console signup, guaranteed access for console preorders or a downloadable public test client.
Treat platform-specific invitations as private selections unless Urban Games publishes a new public instruction. Do not enter a PlayStation, Xbox, Steam or email credential into a site that merely claims to distribute beta access.
How to verify a real invitation
Start from the official Transport Fever 3 website and its current support page. Check that any linked destination uses the publisher or developer's expected domain and compare the wording with a dated official announcement. Never pay a third party for a claimed invitation, recovery service or “activation slot.”
If you previously applied, monitor the email account used for that application and inspect the sender and destination before acting. This guide cannot validate private invitation messages and does not collect beta applications.
What happens next?
The confirmed public release date is 29 September 2026. A later open test, demo or renewed signup would require a new dated official announcement. Until then, the accurate answer remains: closed testing continues for selected participants, and recruitment is closed.
